Greetings friends,

Please note that due to the high chance of rain tomorrow, the *solidarity
rally for peace in Ukraine* has been *rescheduled* to *Sunday, **March 20*,
*2:00-3:00pm *at *Waterloo Public Square*, *75 King St. E*.

Building on the recent global day of action, this will be part of an
additional Canada-wide weekend of action

in
support of a *just peace in Ukraine* and *common security between Russia
and the West*.

*Additional Details:*

   - This will be a *family-friendly* rally organized locally by the Canadian
Voice of Women for Peace <https://vowpeace.org/>.
   - Participants will be encouraged to sign peace cards to Members of
Parliament calling on Canada to stand for peace, to avoid fuelling
the crisis with additional troops and munitions, and to extend diplomatic
resources for a negotiated political solution to the crisis.
   - We encourage you to *bring a song or poem* to share, and to bring
peace signs for us to photograph.
   - The *Facebook event page* can be accessed *here
   <https://fb.me/e/2h5SeTlze> *for registration & sharing.

After the rally, all are invited to meet for coffee/snack at Café 1842 at
the Huether Hotel located at 59 King St N.

For safety purposes, we ask that all participants observe existing regional
health guidelines, available here
<https://www.waterloo.ca/en/living/covid-19-response.aspx>. If anyone has
any questions, feel free to connect as needed. Otherwise, please help get
the word out by sharing with others in your network!

In peace & solidarity,

*Thomas W. Fraser*
