activated, with a program that will emphasize the experiences of change,
public debate and confluence to strengthen the transformative potential of
alternative economies that resist capitalism, neoliberalism, patriarchy,

*Jun 25, 2020 - Defund Police and Prisons*
When: June 25th, 7pm
Promoting Accountability, Meeting Needs and Transforming Communities
Without Cops, Courts and Cages
The murder of George Floyd has sparked a national and global movement
calling on local jurisdictions to defund their police. This demand is not
new and is in response to a long history of deadly racist police uses of
force. In Canada, as in the U.S., police interactions with Black,
Indigenous and racialized community members, often end in death. The recent
deaths of Regis Korchinski-Paquet, D'Andre Campbell and Chantel Moore at
the hands of police called in for ‘wellness' checks have sparked similar
calls to defund police in Toronto.

*Jun 27, 2020 - Policing, Prisons, Surveillance and Resistance*
When: Saturday, June 27th, 1pm EST
Join Labour4Palestine (Canada) for a webinar discussion with leaders from
Palestine on how the Israeli state, military and private sector are
developing, promoting and training in technologies and techniques of
control, surveillance and repression.
These security technologies, products and techniques have serious
implications for workers' rights, immigration and prison justice globally.
They are tested on Palestinians before being marketed to other governments,
police, military and security forces, including the US (i.e., Minneapolis
Police Department officers) and Canada.

*Jun 27, 2020 - Rally Against Israeli Annexation*
When: Saturday, June 27th, 3pm
Where: 2 Bloor Street East (northeast corner of Bloor and Yonge)
Stop Israel's illegal annexation of the West Bank! Defend international
law. Defend Palestinian human rights.
Please join this urgent rally to oppose Israel's attempts to annex large
parts of the West Bank. Israel has announced plans to begin annexing the
West Bank in July, with the full backing of the Trump administration. Any
attempt at annexation would violate international law and numerous United
Nations resolutions. It would also further entrench Israel's illegal
occupation and undermine any possibility for a peaceful resolution.

Capitalism*
When: June 29th, 4:30pm

*Jul 1, 2020 - Day of Rage: No to Annexation*
When: July 1st, 6pm
Where: TBD
Please come out to support this Palestinian and youth-led demonstration of
rage and rejection. We will rally together in Toronto on July 1st in a
location TBD. There is a broad call for a "Day of Rage" by Al-Awda, The
Palestine Right to Return Coalition and the Palestinian diaspora living in
Toronto are answering to the call.
On July 1st, Israel is set to begin the formal annexation of 30% of the
West Bank. The West Bank has been occupied since 1967 and the settlements
that exist there already are illegal by international law. These further
encroachments on Palestinian land are unacceptable. Annexation is nothing
new in Occupied Palestine; the entire Zionist project has depended on land
and resource theft, the displacement of indigenous Palestinians, military
occupation, imprisonment, and colonial violence. The continued expansions
of Jewish-only settlements on occupied land, the US embassy move to
Jerusalem, the so-called "Deal of the Century", and the formalization of
annexation are the latest manifestations of Zionist colonial rule.
