My name is Victoria Lumax and I work at the Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement. We are running an exciting initiative in September - we were wondering if you could share it with the KWPeace community!

We are hosting Peace Week 2022 in Waterloo Region, organizing a community calendar of engaging peace and justice events in our community. The CPA is on lands that are deeply connected to Indigenous peoples who have historically lived, and who currently live, in this territory. These groups include the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. The University of Waterloo is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations, also known as the Haudensaunee people. This land includes six miles on each side of the Grand River.
