Hello KW peace,
I hope everyone is well!
Today, our open letter to cancel the federal government's fighter jet procurement signed by over 100 Canadians plus some international celebrities like Roger Waters, Chris Hedges and Daryl Hannah has just been released!
The open letter was also profiled today in a piece by journalist David Pugliese in the Ottawa Citizen. Over 100 notable Canadians including artists, activists, medical professionals and academics across the country and active & retired politicians from all levels of government have signed our open letter to call on the Trudeau government to cancel its plans to buy a new fleet of fossil-fuel powered fighter jets. Some celebrities include musicians Neil Young, Sarah Harmer and Tegan & Sara, environmentalists David Suzuki and Gretchen Fitzgerald of Sierra Club and authors Michael Ondaatje, Yann Martel and Gail Bowen among many others.
