Roundtable discussion on violence, migration and women

Ploughshares' Women, Peace and Security Series

Featuring Carla Angulo-Pasel and introduction by Cesar Jaramillo, Director of Project Ploughshares.

Where: Balsillie School of International Affairs, Room 1-31, 67 Erb Street West, Waterloo

We invite you to join us in marking International Women's Day 2018 with a discussion about the impact of violence on migrant women and the way these women respond to and navigate violent contexts. Carla Angulo-Pasel will discuss her research findings from her field research in Southern Mexico with women from the Northern Triangle of Central America (NTCA). Countries in the NTCA are ranked among the most violent countries in the world not at war.

Refreshments will be served.
