Hi Everyone, we need to get promoting our event for October 1st! We
should be sending out to our lists today or tomorrow at the latest...
has anyone prepared some standard text? I would like to get my stuff
out today if possible as I have today off work and I won't have any time
the next couple of days...
Also - I would like to say something like "Space is limited, register
soon! Registration is required t facilitate our planning for dinner.
Registration includes dinner and is 'pay what you can' with a suggestion
of $10. Any funds raised beyond our expenses will be donated to ...."
I would like to suggest Amnesty International - because Simon's talk
will likely be about peace and conflict and climate change... so I
thought that would be appropriate... but please make other
suggestions...
Hoping/understanding that our friends with Amnesty would help to promote
as well...
What do you think?

It could also be complicated if we are asking folk to register for an event - and 80 people show up at 3pm - the cafe's regular guest may well feel put out - in fact the cafe may not even go for it.
