[KWPeace-groups] Meeting wednesday

Hi all,

Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy to attend regular KW Peace meetings so far; I cc’d Louise from Alliance Against Poverty (AAP), in case she can make it to the November 8th 7pm meeting.  I appreciate being on the email list and staying in touch.

Details are below for a play that two of us from AAP are acting in this week; if issues of environmental, economic, social & political justice concern you, don’t miss this show.

"An Enemy of the People," which opens a week tonight for a 3-night run. The central character, a medical officer of health, is played by Ken Noakes of Guelph. He's seen in the 2nd & 3rd photos. The play's performed @ Christ Church Waterloo @ 8 pm. Order tickets @ 519-885-4050. Seating is limited to 100 per performance. The play's suitable for Gr. 7 students and up.

Many of us remember incidents of severe water contamination in Grassy Narrows, Walkerton, and Elmira, Ontario, and in Flint, Michigan. Do you also remember how some municipal and provincial or state authorities and local businesspersons tried to cover up the dangers to residents’ health? That’s what forthcoming theatre production is about.
