Hello Bob,
Thanks for this opportunity. Here is some information on Alliance Against Poverty (AAP) and see you on Saturday! :
Alliance Against Poverty (AAP)
Mission Statement:
We are an alliance of individuals from a variety of
economic and social situations who strive to end poverty
within our society by:
• practicing solidarity with those who have enough
and those who do not have enough
• learning from one another through experience,
reflection, and action
• applying direct political pressure to all three levels of
government
•a personal commitment to group values and actions
Principles of Action: commitment to non-violent
action; participation in political action and/or personal
and direct advocacy for and with others to eliminate
poverty; public unanimity on positions taken by AAP as a
group; willingness to collaborate with other groups and
individuals on specific projects to build a movement to
eradicate poverty; AAP will not seek or accept funding
from any level of government.
AAP is a partner of the Local KW Common Front, a
coalition of community groups and labour unions that
have come together to promote social justice and
prosperity for everyone. For more information contact Nadine at

Hi Bob,
We are not able to run a table at the festival this weekend. Here is some text for your flyer, if you still have room:
"Basic Income Waterloo Region is part of a Canada-wide grassroots movement to make a basic income guarantee the next great innovation in social policy. Basic income is money paid by government to individuals on a regular basis to ensure that no one’s income drops below the minimum needed to provide an adequate standard of living."
Thanks
John
