Its a stretch - but maybe try for the pavilion at Victoria Park? .. the
one time grant might cover that. Location matters! another option
would be to change it up a bit... call it an evening of Peace and... and
see if we can get Queen Street Commons - it is not that expensive, we
could have simon talk at 6 - and wrap up by 9 or 9:30 - I bet we could
fill that space, we could serve dinner - we might find more people are
prepared to commit this time as opposed to an entire Saturday. We could
still accomplish our objectives for the event and could easily get
donations at the door to cover costs of dinner and the space.

We could not hold it on October 1st--the kitchen renovations are running behind schedule, and are now targeted to be done the end of September. Trisha has penciled in our event for October 15th as a backup location. I'm hoping another venue opens up--it's still possible that kitchen renovations could be further delayed, and we wouldn't be able to hold the event there in the end.

As I mentioned, if it is available, we should be able to secure it for free as they have an annual grant to cover facilities costs that non-profits can access (but only once a year). Please let me know, I don't want to bother the church about a booking if we have it sewed up. Thanks!
